long overdue update

Life has been busy, but ive made small head way on the h1r. i didnt take pics of much lately but all the cables are built or reused originals, i fabricated a killswitch, sand blasted the pipes and repainted them with a satin black ceramic based paint. i also fabricated a stainless pipe holder for the two right hand pipes similar to the original one but big enough for my silencer which ive kept on the bike. I have started on the tank.... found a big hole and a crack. so at this point ive repaired it with fiberglass and its currently leak free. i have ordere caswell fiberglass tank liner to coat the tank as added precaution. as a side not it looks like the tank was thin where it cracked, looks as tho it was manufactured like that...

It was a beautiful spring ride with friends.

this is a post from my Facebook a week ago, pay attention, be safe,

Today i went to a friends funeral. He was genuine, happy, friendly and more kind then your average person. He had a tendency to leave a positive impression on people the first time they met him. He was safe, level headed, and followed the rules.
While riding his bike last weekend and signalling to turn left in good visibilty and on a straight, flat road, he was hit from behind by a distracted driver that did not notice he was slowing down. His brake light worked, his signal lights were on. There were no excuses not to see him.
I took this picture of his bike only weeks ago when we went out for a ride on a beautiful sunny day. The bike pictured is the one he was riding when he was hit.
Today his youngest daughter of only 6 cried through the majority of the funeral. Even now and then you could hear her cry out "daddy" . He leaves behind his wife, two young daughters, and a son.
So the next time your texting while driving, or talking on your phone, or doing your make up, or turning around to tell your kids to behave, or distracted by whatever, be very away of your surroundings. Because YOU could very easily be the cause of such a terrible senseless accident.
please pay attention. Give others the respect they deserve by paying attention. No one wants to live the rest of their life knowing they caused an accident like this when theres a mother left who has to explain to her kids that their father was so senselessly taken from them and that an accident like this is so EASILY avoidable.

H1R front Wheel

I finally got this wheel together, its been a long time coming. Im feeling pretty good about it, the rims got some battle scars but they polished fairly well.plus my plan from the start wasnt to take the soul out of the bike. Next up is the rear, Rim is sanded and only needs a polish. but i do have to get some rear shoes made to finish it off.

H2 Hillclimber part 2

heres a few more shots of the H2, i ran the engine Vin number and turns out it was a '72. in 72 they were blue or gold. now as a kid i remember a blue 72 laying around in a horse trailer behind out motorcycle shop. also in this pic of my father testing out a snow job in 72 the H2 he was riding was blue. so long story short, the hillclimbers engine very could have come from this h2 in the snowjob pic.
turns out.... not so stock motor...
